Heartstrings Program

The Heartstrings & Valves Program is a specialty after-school music instruction program for children in grades 1-5. Children receive homework help, a meal provided by the USDA Food Bank Program, and three days per week of hands-on music instruction provided by qualified instructors. Once per month, the Virginia Symphony Orchestra provides master class instruction.

• Classes meet Tues, Wed, and Thurs from 3:30PM – 6:00PM

• Begins October 1,2019 through December 12, 2019 then resume January 7 through May 14, 2020

• Cost: $15 per week OR $5 per week for those who qualify for free/reduced lunch at their school

• Homework help and a meal are provided

• Transportation TO the center will be provided by The Salvation Army from Richard Bowling and Coleman Place Elementary Schools

• Parents/Guardians are responsible for picking up their child(ren) at 6:00PM
