Join us for Love in Action Revival Weekend at The Kroc Center, April 16–19, for a powerful weekend of encouragement, healing, connection, and worship. Each day features a unique theme and opportunity for our community to come together. All events are free and open to the public.
Thursday, April 16 – Loving Our Veterans and Military Families
The weekend begins with a Veteran-Informed First Aid Trauma Training from 9 AM–5 PM. This special training is designed to support veterans and military families with practical, informed care and valuable tools for trauma awareness.
Friday, April 17 – Loving Ourselves
On Friday at 6 PM, guests are invited to a meaningful panel discussion centered on healing, growth, and the importance of loving ourselves well. This session will include honest stories, practical insight, and real-life experiences meant to inspire and encourage.
Saturday, April 18 – Loving Our Community
Saturday’s community day will feature registration at 9 AM, with activities and classes running from 10 AM–12 PM, plus community partners and helpful resources in the lobby until 1 PM. Guests can choose from wellness workshops, fitness opportunities, pool activities, and educational sessions focused on health, healing, and wholeness.
Community partners in the lobby will include Island Fresh Juice Bar and prostate health screening and information from Sentara Hospital. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
Saturday will offer two session blocks so attendees can participate in more than one class.
Session One: 10–10:45 AM
Offerings include Pool Time with Kroc Lifeguards, Interval Training and Abs Workout with Brandon Trusty, Healing from Trauma, Loving Our Community, Breast Cancer Awareness, Domestic Violence Healing, Reflexology for Health and Well Being, JuJutsu, and Trauma-Informed Care for Veterans and Their Loved Ones.
Session Two: 11 AM–12 PM
Guests may again choose from Pool Time, fitness classes including Basketball and a Praise Party Workout Dance Class, plus repeated workshop sessions so participants can attend more than one topic of interest.
Sunday, April 19 – Loving God
The weekend concludes with a day of prayer, worship, fellowship, and celebration. Sunday’s schedule includes a Prayer Service at 10 AM, Worship Service in the Chapel at 11 AM followed by lunch, and the Kroc Queens Pageant at 3 PM.
